The promise of a New Year is exhilirating! We get to write something new across the pages of our personal history book.  The excitement that comes from leaving the past behind and embarking on an adventure that has not yet been revealed in it's entirety has the power to revitilize and energize our hopes and dreams.

I consider that to be a wonderful gift from God.  I'm amazed at the complexity with which He concieved the universe, but how kind and benevolent He is to have written into the equation of life, the ability to begin again.

His Word tells us that His Mercies are NEW every morning. Imagine the enormity of that statement. My mercy definately falls short of that goal, but here is the God of all creation beginning His day with mercy on His mind. Not the same mercy he extended to me yesterday--but something entirely new for today.

Beloved, you have a great gift today. Whatever you experienced yesterday is behind and this day brings a brand new start. It's your gift from the Father, a treasure of priceless value. His gift of forgiveness is written into the very foundation of the universe. With each sunrise, in His eyes, you are new--no longer in  bondage to anything that occurred in the past. When we grasp that concept with our whole heart, seeing ourselves through His eyes a dimension of His loving nature becomes real to us. 

Jesus Christ is our new beginning--our point of restoration and forgiveness. He is the Bright Morning Star where we find God's mercies truly are new every morning. Begin your year in faith, knowing for certain that your are indeed a new creation, His creation--and you are beautiful beyond compare!
